Club Championship Week

It has been a great week for us to prepare the golf course for the Club Championship. The weather has been great, allowing us to get in plenty of mowing.

This week, we were privileged to have a demonstration Toro 5510 fairway mower provided to us by Chris at Cheshire Turf Machinery. It is a great piece of kit and hopefully, the directors will look to invest in a similar machine in the future. We hope that the fairways look sharper and tighter as a result! We were sorry to see it leave but, who knows, we might see it back soon!

Well done to James and Ryan who both put in a great shift this week. Their hard work has been reflected in the great presentation on the golf course. I'm sure that the members are pleased with the progress that we are making.

We have had Mark, the chainsaw instructor, back at the golf course this week. He is carefully plotting his way through the woodland between holes 4&7, prioritising the removal of dead, diseased and deformed trees. This careful tree thinning work is critical to the future development of the specimen trees in this woodland. Many thanks again Mark.

A well deserved victory was witnessed on Thursday for our seniors who played at home against Birchwood GC. Well done fellas! You seem to be doing really well this season.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your golf !
